Video from our September 4th show will be included in the show. If we can get our hands on the tape will try and find a way to post it on line. For now, Air Canada offers direct daily flights from Vancouver to Tokyo!

April 13, 2008 - It's been a busy two weeks for The Dirty 30s. An interview in the Ottawa Sun, our CD release party, first place at the City of Ottawa 27th Annual Student battle of the bands and a spot Friday night on the Live 88.5 Big Money Shot. Video from the Live 88.5 show will be on-line soon. For now check out our new and improved Media page.

  • Wednesday, April 2 - It started with your friendly neighbourhood ska band interview with Allan Wigney from the Ottawa Sun. Check out his article "Dirty 30s come of age" in the April 2, 2008 edition of the Sun.

"...an abundance of collective, exuberant shouts and calls to arms against such party-poopers as the warmongering in Fat American."

  • Friday, April 4 - We celebrated the release of our new EP One Louder at a down and dirty show at the New Bayou - check out the photos from the show. A sweaty set where we and the audience lost our shirts in the process. A 14 song set that ended with the audience swarming the stage in a fantastic sing along to "Stand Up."

A very BIG THANKS to everyone who was able to catch the show. We had a great time and we hope you did too. And to Frank, we missed you at the show. Thanks also to Crookedhook from Toronto, The Possums, The Rotten Pickles from Montreal and the Living Sound System for their blistering sets - it was an awesome night. And finally, thanks to our friends at Stopthetoast! Promo.
  • Saturday, April 5 - The week ended at the Nepean Sportsplex with The Dirty 30s taking FIRST PLACE at the City of Ottawa 27th Annual Student Showcase Jam Battle of the Bands.

Thanks to everyone who could make the show - the Sportsplex is not the easiest place to see a show - and to all the other bands in the competitions. Finally thanks to the judges and sponsors of the event: Blue Bear Sound, Fat Dog Productions, Granata Music, Healey Music, Live 88.5, Liverpool Court Studios, Ottawa Recording Academy, Pilot Music Group, St. John's Music, Vertigo Records and Wall Sound.
